IDHA ARTISTS' GALLERY & STAY

Idha was born from the shared dream of contemporary artists Sidharthan and Sandhya—a dream that came not from the mind alone, but from the heart. For centuries, artists have often worked in solitude, their canvases touched only by their own hands and thoughts. But Idha was imagined differently. It grew from a belief in community art, where the act of creation is not hidden away but shared openly, where the audience is not only a spectator but part of the dialogue.

THE SOUL OF FORT KOCHI

Set in Fort Kochi, Idha stands within a town shaped by history and steeped in cultural exchange. Once a thriving port where Arabs, Chinese, Portuguese, Dutch, and British merchants arrived with spices and stories, Fort Kochi still carries the echoes of its global encounters. Its narrow lanes hold colonial architecture, vibrant street art, and the spirit of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale, India's biggest contemporary art festival.

MORE THAN A GALLERY, MORE THAN A STAY

From the beginning, Idha was never meant to be just another art gallery or another homestay. It was envisioned as a living art house, where staying is as much about experiencing as it is about resting. Guests live within the artistic process of two practicing artists—they see art being made, they share their own stories, and they meet people from around the globe, exchanging thoughts about culture, life, and creativity.
